Washington DC Metropolitan Area (approximately 50% of DCBC churches are outside
DC)
Purpose
To strengthen individual churches; to act as an extension of the churches'
mission; to promote and support the work of the American Baptist Churches USA,
Southern Baptist Convention, and Progressive National Baptist Convention; and to
promote harmony of feeling and concert of action on the part of all Baptists in
the U.S. 1993-2000 Vision Churches empowered for mission.

and educated in the U.S. |
 | 45% of the population is listed in the Glenmary Report
as Catholic or Jewish (56% in Montgomery County) |
 | Washington houses 100 Senators, 435 Representatives,
members of the Administration and Supreme Court and all those who serve in
these offices. It is a great ministry area. |
 | A reported 42% of African American males ages 18-34 in
the District are in the criminal justice system. |
